Donations requested

13 October 2003

The UNTL Librarian, Venceslao do Rego, has requested that donation priorities should be as follows:

Library Office Equipment:

  • UPSs (to protect IT and electrical equipment)
  • Laptops (to enable staff to continue working during power blackouts and brownouts)x 3
  • Manual typewriter (with ribbons) X 1
  • Paper (printing/photocopy)

Books on the following subjects:

based on student needs

  • Linguistics
  • Zoology
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Social Economy
  • Horticulture
  • Political Science
  • Public Administration
  • Community Development
  • Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering and practical materials
  • Civil Engineering
  • Information Technology - only up-to-date editions please!

Please be very selective about books for donation. Indonesian language books are first priority, English and Portugese books are also welcome. However we have little in the way of temporary storage facilities and transport to East Timor is costly and is now infrequent due to customs limitations in ET. It would be appreciated if books were up-to-date, relevant and in good condition
