Here is an overview of the UNTL Library Project. First Project PeriodThree months before the National University of Timor Lorosae opened on the 27th of November 2000 there was no library, no library staff and no resources: [read more] Second Project PeriodJohn Sloan, a librarian with the South Australian Department of Education, Training and Employment worked with the UNTL Library staff for three months in 2001(July-Sept). The South Australian Department of Education funded his work as a volunteer in Dili: [read more] Third Project PeriodIn January 2002, Judy Blood returned, as a volunteer funded by Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA, to continue training and support work with the UNTL Library team for a further 3 and a half months - and to see the extraordinary changes made in the last year: [read more] Fourth Project PeriodTwo Australian library volunteers, Pamela Thompson and Karen Myers, went to Dili in early November 2002, for two months, to provide further training and support for UNTL Library staff:  [read more] Fifth Project PeriodJill Haynes went to Dili to work with the UNTL Librarians on the 14th of June 2003, returning home in late December.[read more] Sixth Project PeriodKaren Myers returned to UNTL in June 2004 for 10 weeks to work with the local staff to establish the Multimedia Computer Lab.
