The new library finally accessible to students

Many standard books could not stand upright in the bag racks being used for bookshelves. The old wooden shelving was inadequate for the existing collection.

They would be finally replaced by 249 double bays of shelving from ANU which arrived in Dili in Sept 2002. They would remain in the shipping container until repairs to the library building were completed.
