The wooden shelves are the only shelves available to the library until the donated ANU shelving are unpacked from the shipping container.

There are still only 60 study seats for 5,000 students - most little bigger than an A3 sheet of paper.

The reconstruction of the building was supposed to include a lined roof for insulation and mosquito and security mesh in the lower windows for ventilation. The lack of insulation and the fully glazed windows, coupled with the leaking roof, meant that the air was excessively hot and moist.

These problems are being rectified by USAID.

Then during building work the concrete surfacing on the floor started to crack so the floors will be carpeted.
